Nature is much more in-your-face out here. There are bugs everywhere - spiders, gnats, bees, moths, beetles, grasshoppers, rolly pollies ... all content to share your space. I feel like I'm constantly waving some little buggy off. And critters! Critters galore! Squires, raccoons, coyotes, rabbits, prairie dogs, blue jays, geese, foxes ... all right there! Watching you eat breakfast! Running in front of your bike! I never realized that my life in Virginia was so devoid of these things...
poor Virginia.
