    Adventures in Ubuntu

Objective - use my Wacom tablet.

According to documentation :"...thanks to updated drivers, you should have nothing more to do than plug in your tablet."

I know how to use the Synaptic program so I know I have the correct driver, and it is installed.

As for the Wacom... well, yea, I guess it kind of works. When I touch the pen to pad it works - there's no hover function... no good for drawing, but ok if you wanna use it as a mouse. The Gimp keeps telling me I don't have input devices installed so... There was talk of restarting X, but I don't know what that is, so I just did a 'general' restart. The forum speak of this 'xorg.conf' - I don't know what that is either... or when I might find it... but I'd like to look at it. I've tried...

If it could, my terminal would be laughing.

I'm feeling a little sad... and a little dumb.

    Operation-use-Wacom-to-draw-a-pretty-picture = FAILURE
