I meant to do a review of SAL international shipping (shipping from Japan to the US) because when I searched Google very little came up about this mysterious SAL shipping. Anyway, before I put money down on my kotatsu, I had to choose which type of shipping to use (EMS or SAL). SAL is uninsured so I was concerned about choosing it as a shipping method since I was putting a lot of money into the kotatsu. I have used SAL in the past for things such as bento boxes and toothpicks (yeah I'm weird) all with good results. The toothpicks took the longest - almost 5 weeks, but Ive heard SAL is very slow during the year and speeds up during the holiday season (Nov-Feb). Anyway, I did pick SAL shipping and I would like to report my kotatsu arrived in 2 weeks (ordered in Dec), hale and whole.
I figure SAL is a business - and if a business can't provide the service you're paying for - they won't remain a business for long.
