THE JOB
Back in Aug of 08 I decided to get a job. So I sent out some resumes, went to an interview, and got a job as a receptionist @ an ophthalmology office. 6 months later they asked me to manage one of their satellite offices in Alexandria. I said sure. Since then I have been commuting 4 hours a day on train and bus for a total cost of $9 A DAY to manage the Alx office. Weird, hun?
THE APARTMENT
I am currently living in squalor. SQUALOR. I think my trash is rotting - I haven't bothered to check but there is definitely a smell coming from the sink section. I didn't take a lunch to work yesterday since it required opening the fridge... which smells rancid. I haven't cooked a meal in 30 days. I haven't eaten fresh produce since leaving Colorado. My desk is covered with old ,take-out sushi trays, beer bottles, forks and some cherry pits...
THE HOUSE
We put an offer of 385,000 on a 400,000 townhouse. It looks out onto a forest and has a squeaky upper floor. 3 bedrooms, 3 bath, hardwood floors, a fire place, deck... and a drive way. Heres some pics.
