So the berries are coming back... yes, these strange little berries were spotted once again.

I forgot to take my camera on my excursion today so I'm using the picture from last year...

The 'pumpkin weed' is also back. It grows miniature green pumpkins and has bright pink vines... it's really cool.

In other news related to plants, Ben gave me two trees, a begonia and a lily to take home. I stuffed them in a water bottle and put it in my checked luggage. They came through just dandy. Now they're sitting on my dining room table in tea cups... I have pots and dirt, I'm just lazy.

In news unrelated to plants, I have set up my kotatsu for the 'season.' Sure it's only August, but I can just crank up the air conditioning (kidding).

In news related to drawing (and my previous burp of a post) I've tackled the art of vector drawings. Only the GIMP doesnt have vectors, it has paths, which can be saved in vector format so they're essentially vectors... only I'm thinking if they were actually vectors, then the GIMP would have just called them vectors... but they called them 'paths' so somewhere along the line they're not actually vectors... I guess....

In conclusion I've tackled the art of 'vector like' drawings.

But back to the vector thing - it's so tedious! And I've basically had to re-wire my brain in order to even lay it out correctly... I'll post a note when I get it finished... I'm still putting 'paths' down... This style might be troublesome for me... I have very little patience... and vector drawing need A LOT of patience...

I need to stop using the ... thing.

I think that ... thing comes from reading too much manga.
