Dead Bugs

There is something about Virginia that I hate.

Walking.

This city (Falls Church) is so anti-pedestrian it's disgusting. I can't count the number of times I've been honked at for crossing the street LEGALLY (as in with the cross walk signal on a crosswalk). It's almost easier to jay walk. Except for the whole issue of LOOMING DEATH from FREAKISH VA TRAFFIC.

The traffic here is another thing altogether. It's awe inspiring. I mean honestly, it's beyond comprehension. Everyone does 20 over the speed limit. EVERYONE. Even the old people who can't see over the steering wheel. The speed LIMIT is essentially the posted sign + 20. Speeding is anything faster than 20-over the speed limit. There are a lot of speeders. At this point I'm just thinking, why waste the metal to post a speed limit sign? It's not like you care...

Oh and people here can't park. Well I guess that's not entirely true. People here can't park quickly. I have yet to come across a poorly parked car, but I have seen multiple people pull in and out of a slot up to EIGHT times just to get it parked. Holy hot damn, David and I were behind one guy who pulled into the middle slot of 3 open slots then pulled in and out twice. When he pulled out for the third time, he switched over the the 3rd slot and pulled in and out twice AGAIN. HE THEN PULLED OUT AGAIN AND DROVE ON TO A ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SLOT AND DID THE SAME LITTLE DANCE. I wouldn't be so weirded out if I hadn't seen something similar happen in our complex parking lot.
